Transformation coaching is different from life coaching or just fitness coaching. Transformation coaching is a style of guidance which supports people bettering themselves and their lives by bringing about necessary changes, whether that is with food, fitness, actualizing goals, etc. The biggest difference with transformational coaching vs. fitness coaching or life coaching, is clients work on changing the way they see themselves. This style of coaching may include helping someone to change their self-image, or perceptions about themselves and their limitations. It is less about telling people what to do; rather, it is about giving people the power to change their relationship to him or herself through specific guidance strategies.
I believe in the power of coaching. Even as a coach, I have my own personal work to do, which is why I also have a coach. My coach guides me as an athlete and helps me to see bodybuilding shows through. I need him to be successful. It is hard to support ourselves when we are truly trying to change and grow. Even the best intentions from a family member or friend may not to help transform you the way a coach would.
